Hacking Intermittent Fasting with MCT Oil, Coconut Oil

Before I get into the discussion on Intermittent Fasting with MCT Oil, and how to structure your fasting journey.. I’d like to say thank you for remaining subscribed to my newsletter! I haven’t been updating my blog too often, mostly due to the vast amount of social media posts I make on a weekly basis.. although this ‘vast amount’ is quite subjective, since many people post MUCH more than I do. For me it’s a juggling act of posting content on social media, managing my daily 9-5 with https://thoughtmedia.com, other business ventures, and investments.

Belly Fat Weight Loss FixIf you’re a subscriber on youtube you’ll notice I’ve started uploading on a schedule of:
Mondays – Health & Fitness, Athletic content
Wednesdays – Curated Content of various influential speakers
Fridays – Discussions & Vlogs

So for the past 2 weeks I’ve been uploading quite regularly! On top of this I’ve also released an Android app for the channel, giving audiences easier access to content.

That aside, I’d like to discuss today’s upload on Hacking Intermittent Fasting (“IF”) and the use of MCT Oil from Nuton. I get MANY messages on fasting, dieting, health, and weight loss.. likely because it’s one of my most viewed videos (almost 1million views). I’ve since made a few follow-up videos to answer specific questions people ask. One of those questions is how to handle mornings when fasting.. it’s a tricky one!

Many people love coffee, tea, or even breakfast in the morning – all of which can take you out of a fasted state (out of ketosis). Ketosis is a normal metabolic process. When the body does not have enough glucose for energy, it burns stored fats instead; this results in a build-up of acids called ketones within the body. Some people encourage ketosis by following a diet called the ketogenic or low-carb diet.

In today’s upload I discuss how one can utilize MCT Oil in the mornings with coffee as a supplement creamer. This will allow one to remain in a state of Ketosis by not spiking insulin with glucose or glycogen. You might be wondering what exactly MCT Oil is?

MCTs” are medium-chain triglycerides, a form of saturated fatty acid that has numerous health benefits, ranging from improved cognitive function to better weight management. Coconut oil is one great source of MCTs — roughly 62–65 percent of the fatty acids in coconut oil are MCTs — but recently more concentrated “MCT oils” have also been growing in popularity.

MCTs, also called “MCFAs” for medium-chain fatty acids, are believed to be largely missing from the diets of people eating “standard Western” diets, most likely because the public has been led to believe that all forms of saturated fats are potentially harmful. However, recently research has shown a lot of evidence about the real truth regarding saturated fats.

So by taking MCT Oil in place of creamer, one is giving themselves a source of energy from medium-chain fatty acids without spiking insulin. In my youtube video I show using 3 tbsp of MCT Oil with black coffee – this gives me 375 calories (more than enough fuel for the fasted-state through the day).Belly Fat Weight Loss Program

Lately my intermittent fasting has been limited to 2-3 days a week with a maximum of 16 hours fast. Why? Because my goals have shifted from when I began fasting and wanting to lose weight, to now more muscle-gain oriented goals. Now a days I fast for overall health and improvements in HGH (human growth hormone) production.
